It was a good time at Flagship Field, where fans came to watch the Duluth Lumberjax and New Haven Tempest get after it.
New Haven Tempest starter Wally Woolsey was in fine form against the Duluth Lumberjax at Flagship Field, leading his team to a 7-3 win. Woolsey, the winner, moves to 6-3. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 2 walks.
The Tempest had to work out of trouble in the top of the seventh. The score was 4-1, New Haven, with one out. Duluth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, was mounting a threat. Eddie Jenkins dug in at the plate, but on a 2-2 sinker, he struck out.
The winning continues for New Haven, with the latest making it 10 straight.
