The New Haven Tempest went home winners at Flagship Field, thanks in large part to starter Pat Downie. Downie silenced the Anchorage Ice Sox, enabling New Haven to grab the 5-1 win. Downie picked up the win for New Haven, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 8-2. The Tempest own a robust 45-18 mark.

The Tempest picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.
