Waterspouts Lose, 8-6, at Harris Interactive Arena
|
The Honolulu Waterspouts got a superb performance from center fielder Mark Reichert. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Reno. The Graybirds won the game, 8-6. In spite of the loss, Reichert was named the player of the game. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Brian Argabright got the win, improving to 1-1. He worked 7.1 innings, giving up 5 runs on 10 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 0. Dan Cuff earned the save for Reno, his 3rd of the year.
Dan Paim aided the Reno cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first. For the game, the shortstop was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Paim said after the game.
Losses have been few and far between for the Waterspouts, who are now 5-2.
