Waterspouts Come Up Short at El Paso
The Honolulu Waterspouts got a sterling performance from second baseman Brendan Hight, but the Sweathogs still prevailed, 7-6. Hight was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. Robert Bell, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 16th save. With the win, the Sweathogs improved to 37-28.

In the bottom of the 6th, left fielder George Murphy gave El Paso the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Sweathogs had been trailing 5-4, but the two-out single off Honolulu pitcher C.J. Seefeld changed that -- and El Paso went on to win.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Murphy told the El Paso Herald.
