Warlocks Bang Out 11-5 Win Versus New Haven
|
The first-place Wichita Warlocks welcomed New Haven to Propel Fitness Water Field.
Benefiting from Dashawn Sims's productive game, the Wichita Warlocks downed the New Haven Tempest, 11-5. Sims was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Warlocks. Wichita has now won 6 straight.
Wichita took a 8-5 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With no one out, third baseman Jeff Martinez hit a grand slam home run that set the crowd abuzz.
"There's a lot of good karma around our club," said winning manager Phil Romano.
