Tight Tilt Goes to Waterspouts, 3-2
|
The Honolulu Waterspouts did just enough to sneak past the Tucson Fighting Beetles, 3-2, at Coconuts Park. Honolulu pitcher Seth Berry earned player of the game honors. The Waterspouts sit in third place in the United League West Division with a record of 70-76.
Honolulu took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With one out, second baseman Pyeong-min Lee hit a solo home run that set the crowd abuzz.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Honolulu manager Claribette Del Rosario. "Our pregame was pretty good."
