Tempest Reel Off Another Win
|
It was a fun time at Flagship Field, where the Bangor Devil Bears and New Haven Tempest tangled.
The New Haven Tempest picked up a win at Flagship Field, knocking off the Bangor Devil Bears, 2-0. Starting pitcher Dan Hindes, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The first-place Tempest have won 7 straight.
New Haven took the lead in the bottom of the seventh. With no one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Brett Jewett stroked a run-scoring single to make it 1-0, Tempest.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Jewett.
