Warlocks Trounce Hullabaloo, 10-3
|
The Kalamazoo Hullabaloo got a superb performance from shortstop Mike Rowan. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Wichita. The Warlocks won the game, 10-3. In spite of the loss, Rowan was named the player of the game. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The save was credited to Paul Hanson, his 2nd. Wichita is now 74-76.
Hoyt Dowd's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth was significant for the Warlocks. Coming to the plate with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Wichita trailing 3-2, the shortstop hit a run-scoring single.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Chris Lopresti said.
