Cheesepressers Blast Kingfishers
The Toledo Cheesepressers grabbed a 12-1 win over the Corpus Christi Kingfishers at Fallow Field. Toledo catcher Chris Kiger went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 to earn player of the game honors. The win was John Naughton's in relief. His record improves to 8-0. Adam Jessee took the loss for Corpus Christi. The Cheesepressers have an impressive 97-54 record.

Kiger contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the sixth. With the bases loaded, he hit a grand slam. It was one of the critical at-bats that helped Toledo get the win.

"We came out aggressive," said Cheesepressers manager Matt Perrone. "We came out swinging the bats."
