The skies opened up and the rain fell at Coconuts Park.

Reno had no answer for Honolulu Waterspouts starter John Barnhill, who flummoxed Graybirds hitters as the Waterspouts cruised to a 6-1 victory. Barnhill went the distance for Honolulu. He gave up 1 earned run on 3 hits.

A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and one out in the bottom of the fifth inning. That's when third baseman Bubba Miller, who is tied for 10th in the UL in bases on balls with 78, got hit by a pitch. The Waterspouts went on to win.

"We had a nice day," said Honolulu skipper Claribette Del Rosario.

With the win over Reno, the Waterspouts improved to 87-64.
