Hullabaloo Sneak Past Fighting Beetles, 2-1
|
The Tucson Fighting Beetles wasted an impressive 8-inning effort from starter Josh Carlson, falling 2-1 to the Kalamazoo Hullabaloo at The Zoo. Kalamazoo reliever Elias Sanchez picked up the win, upping his record to 3-3. David Sanders shouldered the loss. The second-place Hullabaloo now have a win-loss record of 84-69.
Late in the game, left fielder Al Hernandez had a big at-bat for Kalamazoo. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring double off David Sanders. The play gave the Hullabaloo a 2-1 lead.
Hernandez described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
