Hullabaloo Take Nail-Biter Over Pharaohs
|
The Hullabaloo had to overcome a good performance from Des Moines pitcher Kevin Morrison to claim a 2-1 win at The Zoo. Morrison went 8 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Reliever Elias Sanchez picked up the win. His record improves to 7-2. Jon Turner took the loss. With the win, the Hullabaloo have a record of 96-58.
Alvaro Verdusco had the critical at-bat for Kalamazoo. With two out in the bottom of the 11th inning, he hit a walk-off run-scoring single. It gave Kalamazoo the 2-1 walk-off win.
Verdusco said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
