Waterspouts Bang Out 7-2 Win Versus Boise
|
Honolulu got a strong outing from Andy Rodriguez as the Waterspouts defeated the Boise Idahosies, 7-2, at Best Western Dome. In 6 innings, Rodriguez surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. Robert Larini earned the save for Honolulu, his 3rd of the year.
In the top of the fourth, Honolulu designated hitter Mike Lynn had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out, Lynn stroked a run-scoring double to left. It made the score 2-1, Honolulu. For the game, he was 1-5 with a double.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Rodriguez. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
The Waterspouts improved to 75-79.
