Toledo Topples Little Rock, 5-4

Despite a great performance by Little Rock center fielder Alex Molano, the Toledo Cheesepressers defeated the Mighty Cocks by the score of 5-4 at Velveeta Field. Molano was 4 for 5 with 4 singles. He scored 2 runs. Jim Samis was the winner. Over 6.2 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 10 hits, with 1 walk and 3 strikeouts. Toledo is 100-55 and Little Rock, with the loss, 91-64.
Toledo second baseman Iemochi Hoshino helped the Cheesepressers to the win. In the bottom of the fourth inning, the 27-year old second baseman stroked a run-scoring double. For the game, Hoshino went 2-4 with a double.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Hoshino said.
