Hullabaloo Reel Off Another Win
|
The rain came, as predicted, but the Kalamazoo Hullabaloo and Wichita Warlocks were able to complete their ballgame.
Kalamazoo starter Leo Rojas put a stranglehold on the Wichita offense. The right-hander had complete command of his curveball in leading the Hullabaloo to a 4-1 win. Lemsik Bejanian recorded the save for Kalamazoo, his 4th of the season.
In the bottom of the fifth, Kalamazoo third baseman Mike Wagoner had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out, Wagoner stroked a run-scoring double to right. It made the score 1-0, Kalamazoo. For the game, he went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Rojas said.
Kalamazoo has now won 6 games in a row.
