Waterspouts Knock Off Idahosies at Coconuts Park
The Honolulu Waterspouts got a magnificent effort from pitcher Kevin Vercammen, who kept Boise hitters in check en route to a 3-1 Waterspouts win at Coconuts Park. Ismael Jimenez notched his 24th save in 26 chances. The second-place Waterspouts are now 93-65, the Idahosies 47-111.

The Waterspouts beat the Idahosies in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out single Kevin Conger produced in the bottom of the first. Batting against Boise pitcher Dan Lily, Conger gave his team a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run single.

Conger said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
