Loss Extends Des Moines Losing Streak
|
Kalamazoo right-hander Travis Storm helped his team edge Des Moines by the score of 3-2. Storm kept the opposing lineup in check. In 7 innings, Storm surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 4. He allowed 2 runs. Devon Pavese finished the game for Kalamazoo and earned his 20th save.
It could have been a different outcome for Kalamazoo, had it not been for Jason Brown, the 30-year old third baseman . Brown contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fifth inning to put Kalamazoo up, 3-2.
"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Des Moines manager Danny Fisher.
The losing skid has reached 6 games for Des Moines.
