Wildcats Pin 3-1 Loss on Tempest
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Savannah Wildcats and the New Haven Tempest, Ryan Dry was the difference-maker. The Savannah right-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-1 win. Dry went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 0, and struck out 5. His record improves to 9-4. Getting the save was Wally Borman, his 5th.
James Sotello put Savannah in front, 3-1, when he hit a 3-run home run off Matt Jacobson in the bottom of the sixth. It was his 11th home run of the season.
"Ryan is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Savannah manager Dave Swann.
The Wildcats raised their record to 91-69.
