Platoon Win at Kalamazoo, 5-2
|
Saskatoon and Kalamazoo duked it out at The Zoo and the Platoon came out victorious.
Saskatoon Platoon starter David Griffin turned in a top-notch performance against the Kalamazoo Hullabaloo at The Zoo. The result was a win for the Platoon, 5-2. Griffin picked up the win for Saskatoon, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 9-4. Will Engle earned the save, his 1st.
Garrett Cranford delivered a big hit for the Platoon. The veteran third baseman belted a 3-run home run in the top of the first. The longball put Saskatoon on top, 4-0. Overall, Cranford went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Griffin said.
The Platoon own a robust 48-24 mark.
