Hullabaloo Roll to 8-2 Win Over Fighting Beetles
|
The Kalamazoo Hullabaloo beat the Tucson Fighting Beetles, 8-2, at The Zoo. The win was largely due to the efforts of left fielder Al Hernandez, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The winner was Isaiah White, who threw 105 pitches over 6.2 innings. The right-hander was charged with 2 runs on 7 hits. The Hullabaloo improved to 33-37.
In the bottom of the first inning, first baseman Ed Duron came through big-time for the Hullabaloo. With Kalamazoo leading 1-0, he belted a 2-run home run.
Hernandez told a Kalamazoo Daily reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
