Waterspouts Take Close Win Over Graybirds
|
Reno pitcher Paul Baker gave the Waterspouts all they could handle, but in the end, Honolulu left Coconuts Park with a 7-4 win. Baker allowed 1 earned run on 4 hits over 6 innings. Reno has now lost 4 consecutive games.
Colin Allen was the walk-off hero for Honolulu. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Waterspouts catcher hit a dramatic 3-run home run to send the teams home.
"We take it day by day here," said Allen, "and today was a good one for us."
