Home Field Advantage: Harkey, Wichita Open Division Series with Win
|
The Wichita Warlocks started the Division Series in style today, downing the visiting Kalamazoo Hullabaloo at Propel Fitness Water Field by a score of 9-2 to stake an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. Warlocks center fielder Travis Harkey was named player of the game after he went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2.
Harkey had a big at-bat with a runner on 2nd in the bottom of the first inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Warlocks went on to win.
"It was a good day but I'm not letting my guard down," Harkey said. "I'll let my guard down as soon as someone puts a big, fat championship ring on my finger."
The next game is set to be played on Friday, October 13th, 2017 at Propel Fitness Water Field. The scheduled starters for the game are Sam Dallas for the Hullabaloo and Tom Boots for the Warlocks.
