Plummer 3-3 to Power Idahosies Offense
|
The Boise Idahosies dealt the Honolulu Waterspouts a 4-3 loss at Coconuts Park. Greg Plummer was the star on offense. He went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Boise starter Sam Sellers was credited with the win after throwing 106 pitches over 7 innings. His record now stands at 1-1. The 'W' lifts Boise's record to 39-34.
Plummer had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 0-2 fastball from Ryan Grosso, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Idahosies a 4-3 lead. It was the 14th home run of the year for Plummer.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Honolulu skipper Claribette Del Rosario, "and it cost us."
