Cranford goes 3-for-5, Leads Platoon to Win
Saskatoon third baseman Garrett Cranford was instrumental in his team's 13-7 win over the Honolulu Waterspouts. Cranford went 3-5 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Platoon. Saskatoon reliever Andy Kazmierski picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-0. Travis Covey was collared with the loss. Saskatoon is off to a hot start at 6-3.

It could have been a different outcome for Saskatoon, had it not been for Abel Flanders, the 28-year old second baseman . Flanders contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth inning to put Saskatoon up, 5-4.

In postgame comments to the Saskatoon Observer, Flanders said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
