Pride Best Tempest in Pitching Duel
Right-hander Kevin Morrison mesmerized the New Haven Tempest while leading the Savannah Pride to a 1-0 victory. Getting the save was Souma Yamamura, his 16th. Savannah is now 34-40, New Haven 37-37.

The Pride got a lift from second baseman Chomei Osumi who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the seventh inning off Dan Hindes. It was his 20th walk of the season and put Savannah in front, 1-0.

"We had a good game plan," Morrison said, "and we were able to execute it."
