In a low-scoring game between the Kalamazoo Hullabaloo and the Des Moines Pharaohs, pitcher Jake Ronke was masterful on the mound. The Kalamazoo left-hander was named the player of the game in Kalamazoo's 3-1 win. Ronke, the winner, moves to 6-3. He threw 6 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 2 walks. Lemsik Bejanian got credit for the save for Kalamazoo. It was his 6th of the year.
Matt McGrogan, who is tied for 8th in the UL in triples with 4, helped out the Kalamazoo cause in the top of the eighth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the second baseman was 2-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.
