Big Day by McLaughlin Sparks Waterspouts Win
The Boise Idahosies and Honolulu Waterspouts provided some drama at Coconuts Park.

Jared McLaughlin left his imprint on the 5-4 Honolulu win against the Boise Idahosies. McLaughlin, the 11 overall pick in the 2022 draft, hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Billy Ochoa locked down his 3rd save.

Had Brendan Hight not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Hight hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Waterspouts.

"This team is real focused right now," said Honolulu manager Claribette Del Rosario.

The first-place Waterspouts have won 5 consecutive games.
