|
Savannah starter Mark Mahoney pitched effectively against the New Haven Tempest at Haggar Pants Park. The right-hander led his team to a 5-3 win. The Wildcats raised their record to 5-3.
Bryant Leslie, who signed a 4-year contract worth $65,900,000 on 01/02/2018, helped out the Savannah cause in the bottom of the first inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the catcher was 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Mahoney said.
