Lundholm Handcuffs Platoon, Tempest Seize 2-1 Advantage in League Championship Series
With starter Philip Lundholm leading the charge, the New Haven Tempest defeated the Saskatoon Platoon, 5-1, in Game 3 of the League Championship Series today. The right-hander threw 7 innings of 6-hit ball at Labatt Blue Field to help New Haven take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Bubba Hurst helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring triple to give New Haven a 1-0 lead.

"It's a mindset," said Lundholm. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."

Game 4 is scheduled for Thursday, October 18th, 2018 at Labatt Blue Field. The scheduled starters for the game are Steve Rhodes for New Haven and Brendan Powell for Saskatoon.
