Torres Excels, But Cheesepressers Win
The Topeka Bulldogs got a superb performance from catcher Juan Torres, but the Toledo Cheesepressers still won the game, 6-4. Torres was named the player of the game despite the loss. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The Cheesepressers now own a record of 49-28.

Making an impact for Toledo was second baseman Iemochi Hoshino. He drilled a 2-run single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Hoshino went 3-4 with 2 doubles, while adding 3 RBI.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Hoshino told the Toledo Daily News.
