Griffiths Blasts Cheesepressers, Idahosies Take Game 1, 8-2
With left fielder Mike Griffiths leading the charge, the Boise Idahosies got a road win over the Toledo Cheesepressers, 8-2, in Game 1 of the Wildcard Series today. Griffiths went 2-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice at Velveeta Field to help Boise take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-3 series.

Colin Murray chipped in for Boise, stroking a crucial single in the top of the third inning. For the game, the first baseman was 2 for 3 with 2 singles. He scored 2 runs.

"We're happy," Murray told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've pretty much got to treat every game like it could be your last."

The next game is scheduled for Friday, October 9th, 2026 at Velveeta Field. The scheduled starters for the game are Arturo Gonzalez for Boise and Jordan Morales for Toledo.
