Hauser Blasts Tempest, Cheesepressers Take Game 3, 5-3
|
The Toledo Cheesepressers moved to within one game of the League Championship Series today, downing the New Haven Tempest on the road at Flagship Field by a score of 5-3. Cheesepressers catcher Bob Hauser was named player of the game after he went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win gives the Cheesepressers a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 Division Series.
Hauser's nice game included a clutch 3-run home run in the top of the third.
Hauser attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
The next game is set to be played on Friday, October 16th, 2026 at Flagship Field. The scheduled starters for the game are R.J. Fallon for the Cheesepressers and John Quinn for the Tempest.
