Hullabaloo Turn Back Bangor, 4-3
|
The Kalamazoo Hullabaloo picked up a win at Red Lobster Arena, knocking off the Bangor Devil Bears, 4-3. Starting pitcher Sam Dallas, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. In 6.1 innings, Dallas surrendered 10 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 2. He allowed 3 runs. The second-place Hullabaloo raised their record to 40-38.
Matt Kasparian had a big 2-run double for the Hullabaloo in the top of the second inning. With Kalamazoo leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from Marcos Kozak and stroked the double to right. It was his 12th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Hullabaloo ahead, 3-0.
"We did enough to win," said Dallas.
