Cheesepressers Even With Corsairs After Home Win
In a crucial game, the Toledo Cheesepressers put on their best show, beating the Thunder Bay Corsairs by a final score of 9-8 today. Tyler Donley earned player of the game honors, as he was 4 for 5 with 4 singles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Toledo and Thunder Bay are now tied at 1 wins apiece in the best-of-7 affair.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Toledo second baseman Iemochi Hoshino, facing John Farruggia, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Cheesepressers the 9-8 win.

"This place was electric at the end," Hoshino said.

Game 3 is set to be played on Saturday, November 1st, 2025 at Dr. Thunderdome. The scheduled starters for the game are Marshall Pazar for the Cheesepressers and Justin Endicott for the Corsairs.
