Corsairs Solve Waterspouts, 5-3
|
Thunder Bay right fielder Danny Munson made his presence felt in the 5-3 Corsairs triumph over the Honolulu Waterspouts. Munson was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times. Matt Horan closed the game out for Thunder Bay, earning his 1st save. The first-place Corsairs lifted their record to 37-40.
Jamie Bailey was 1-2 with a double for Thunder Bay. In the bottom of the seventh, with the teams deadlocked, 3-3, Bailey delivered for the Corsairs. His run-scoring sacrifice fly put Thunder Bay on top, 4-3.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Thunder Bay manager Nate Clutts.
