Turkeys Knock Off Tempest at Radio Shack Field
The Albuquerque Turkeys beat the New Haven Tempest, 5-3, at Radio Shack Field. The Turkeys got a fine performance from left fielder Steve Pinnell, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2 for 3 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The second-place Turkeys raised their record to 44-33.

Pinnell had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-2 curveball from Mike Perry, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Turkeys a 4-3 lead. It was the 15th home run of the year for Pinnell.

"This was a good win," said Pinnell.
