Jesse King exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Cabela's Park.
The Anchorage third baseman had a field day in the 10-3 triumph over the Eureka Goldrush, finishing 5-for-5.
"My hitting philosophy is pretty simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch."
King must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Jesse King singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th and singled in the 8th.
To date King has chalked up a .313 average with 4 home runs, driven in 19 runs and scored 20 times.
