Boskey Excels, But Waterspouts Win
|
The umbrellas came out during the Honolulu-Knoxville contest at Smith and Wesson Field.
Knoxville first baseman Kurt Boskey had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 10-7, to Honolulu at Smith and Wesson Field. Boskey hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Nate Dorn got credit for the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2.1 innings.
Dennis Anderson, who is tied for 5th in the UL with a 1.055 OPS, aided the Honolulu cause with a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh. For the game, the shortstop was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Anderson said.
Honolulu is now 45-40, while Knoxville is 31-53.
