In a low-scoring tilt between the Topeka Bulldogs and the Toledo Cheesepressers, Ben Hardenberg was the difference-maker. The Topeka right-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-2 win. The first-place Bulldogs improved to 48-32.

Topeka took control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and a runner on 2nd, Matt Slabaugh hit a run-scoring single to make it 3-2, Bulldogs.

Slabaugh attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
