Behind a solid performance from designated hitter John Roberts, the Toledo Cheesepressers defeated the Cheyenne Sentinels, 4-3. Roberts went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Cheesepressers. Travis Storm got the win, improving to 8-1. He worked 7 innings, giving up 3 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. The Sentinels, now 33-48, have lost 8 in a row.
One important at-bat came with runners on 2nd and 3rd in the top of the eighth inning. Facing Cheyenne hurler Szeto Gu, Bobby Ware, who is tied for 2nd in the UL in triples with 6, drew a walk. The Cheesepressers went on to win.
