Graybirds Turn Back Honolulu, 3-1

Reno Graybirds starter Matt Rose pitched a strong game against the Honolulu Waterspouts at Harris Interactive Arena, leading the Graybirds to a 3-1 win. Tony Alfaro notched his 17th save in 20 chances. Reno is now 33-49.
DeMario Rodriguez had a big 2-run single for the Graybirds in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Reno leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from Andy Rodriguez and stroked the single to left. It was his 47th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Graybirds ahead, 3-0.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Rose told a Reno Daily reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
