The New Haven Tempest eked out a 6-5 win versus the Havana Knights at Montecristo Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Keegan Kroll, who captured player of the game honors. New Haven has a 3-game win streak, while Havana has lost 3 in a row.
New Haven took the lead in the top of the sixth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Marcus Butts stroked a 3-run home run to make it 3-0, Tempest.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Kroll.
