Verdusco Powers Hullabaloo to 8-5 Win
|
The Kalamazoo Hullabaloo downed the Wichita Warlocks, 8-5, at Propel Fitness Water Field. The Hullabaloo were led by Alvaro Verdusco, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Kalamazoo reliever Jen-ta Mao was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Bernard Robbins. Kalamazoo has now reeled off 7 straight wins.
Verdusco came through with some timely hitting for Kalamazoo. With the score 1-0 in the top of the second and two down, Verdusco hit a first pitch fastball for a 3-run home run. His 15th home run of the season made it 4-0, Kalamazoo.
