Pharaohs Win at Kalamazoo, 6-4
|
Ryan Halsey made an impact in the 6-4 Des Moines win over Kalamazoo. Halsey, who is rated as the 33rd best prospect by BNN, was 2-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Des Moines reliever Brian Coburn picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Seth Drolette absorbed the loss. Tom Caldwell got the save, his 21st in 24 chances.
Halsey had a game-changing double in the top of the seventh. On a 2-1 sinker from Seth Drolette, he banged a 2-run double to left-center, giving the Pharaohs a 6-4 lead. It was the 22nd double of the year for Halsey.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Halsey told the Des Moines Chronicle.
The Hullabaloo, at 62-26, have lost 4 in a row.
