Morris goes 3-for-4, Leads Tempest to Win
New Haven center fielder Nick Morris was instrumental in his team's 14-5 win over the Savannah Wildcats. Morris went 3-4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Tempest. Matt Jacobson, who went 6 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 4 runs on 7 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 3. His record now stands at 1-1. Tanner Zaretsky was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 3 of 3 save opportunities.

Morris had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the second inning, when he hit a run-scoring single. The Tempest went on to win.

Morris told a New Haven Times reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
