Waterspouts Get Road Win, 5-4
|
The Honolulu Waterspouts topped the Boise Idahosies, 5-4, with second baseman Brendan Hight playing a big role. Hight went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Waterspouts in the win. Honolulu reliever Robert Larini picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. George Knickle shouldered the loss. The Waterspouts saw their record improve to 39-50.
Had Colin Allen not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Allen hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Waterspouts.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Hight told the Honolulu Observer.
