Benjamin Now 7-4 After Subduing Pride
A nice crowd turned out to see the New Haven Tempest and Savannah Pride clash at Haggar Pants Park.

Savannah had no answer for New Haven Tempest hurler Mike Benjamin, who overwhelmed Pride hitters as the Tempest coasted to a 6-0 victory. The Tempest improved to 48-42.

Benjamin was in the zone all game. He frustrated Savannah hitters while giving the Tempest 8.2 innings of quality work. Benjamin threw 125 pitches, allowing 5 hits and getting 6 punchouts.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said New Haven manager Brandon Eberle.
