Cheesepressers Squelch Hullabaloo Offense in Shutout Win
Toledo left-hander Michael Ponce shut out the Kalamazoo Hullabaloo, 6-0. Ponce, now 9-7, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing no earned runs. At 57-35, the Cheesepressers find themselves in first place in the United League East Division.

Rich LaBelle delivered a big hit for the Cheesepressers. The veteran first baseman belted a 2-run home run in the top of the second. The longball put Toledo on top, 4-0. Overall, LaBelle was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

LaBelle described the clubhouse as "strangely calm" after the game.
