Mighty Cocks Clip Hullabaloo in Tight Contest
|
In a tight contest at Durex Field, the Little Rock Mighty Cocks edged the Kalamazoo Hullabaloo by the score of 4-3. Little Rock right fielder John Drader, who blasted 1 home run, was named the player of the game. Jason Taylor was called on to finish, recording his 22nd save. With the win, Little Rock goes to 52-47, while the Hullabaloo fall to 52-47.
Drader had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a first pitch slider from Steve Gardner, he banged a solo home run to left-center, giving the Mighty Cocks a 4-3 lead. It was the 28th home run of the year for Drader.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Kalamazoo manager Jason Eberle.
