Waterspouts Get Road Win, 5-2
|
Honolulu and Little Rock put this game in the books despite some rain.
The Honolulu Waterspouts got a strong performance from pitcher Ryan LaVoie, who stymied the Little Rock offense en route to a 5-2 win at Durex Field. Lorenzo Sierra was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 25 of 26 save opportunities.
Steve Casselman, who is on pace for 105 RBI this season, aided the Honolulu cause with a 2-run single in the top of the eighth. For the game, the second baseman was 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs.
"I liked his command," said Honolulu manager Claribette Del Rosario. "Ryan was throwing strikes."
The Waterspouts' win now puts them at 57-42.
